Last day at Niujie...salaam
It was less than 2 weeks ago that I was here at this wonderful mosque - Niujie. After the jummuah prayer, I said goodbye to my Chinese brothers and sisters. I explained that I was going back to America and asked for a photo. The man all the way to the left is the guard at the mosque. He got accustomed to me coming by regularly during my 2 weeks in BJ and was friendly to me. The man in the middle is an elder that I met that day after prayer.
I would also like to mention how vibrant the elderly people are in BJ. Another note on that later.

Leigh's First Beijing Moments
Day 1: We climbed the Great Wall! Mutiyanu session took our breath away.
Day 2: Summer Palace. Wonderland for the Emperors, and now, tourists.
Day 3: Olympic Babies! The vastness of the Water Cube in the Olympic Park.
The Bird's Nest and a corresponding structure in the landscape outside the stadium.
Day 5: At the Peking Man Dig, we learned about Modern Man's evolution from Homo Erectus.
And played the most funnest game in the world.
This is all for me for now. More to contribute soon!
